Email Notification Link Directing to BP Step
This Work Instruction Resolves:
The issue is when the BP link in email notifications for an RFQ or EC Step is landing users on the Home page of Campfire (after signing in, this is required even when the link directs to the BP step).
This resolution has a three parts to it:
- Default Web Browser is set to Google Chrome.
- Microsoft Outlook is set to open Hyperlinks to open in the default browser.
- Campfire is allowed for pop-ups and redirects.
Default Browser Set to Google Chrome
1. In the Search Bar, type in “Browser”, a search result will produce an option to “Choose a default web browser,” select it.
2. The Settings window will appear showing the Defaul Apps. The default app should show Google Chrome as the Web Browser.

3. If Google Chrome is NOT set as the default Web Browser, click on the browser listed.

4. After clicking on the current default browser a window will appear with other options to set, choose Google Chrome.

Microsoft Outlook is set to open Hyperlinks to open in the default browser.
1. In Microsoft Outlook, go to File > Options > Advanced. Confirm “Open Hyperlinks from Outlook in:” is set to “Default Browser”.
2. If “Default Browser” is NOT the selection, use the drop down to select “Default Browser”.

3. Save the changes by selecting the “OK” button at the bottom of the window.

Campfire is allowed for pop-ups and redirects.
1. In Google Chrome, click on the menu (three dots) in the upper right corner of the window.

3. Use the Search Bar and type, “site settings”. Select “Sight Settings” in the search results.
